2. 5/4/2015 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF NEW MARKET PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2015 - JUNE 30, 2016 The Town of New Market will conduct a public hearing on the proposed annual budget for fiscal year 2015-16 on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 7:30 pm in the Council Chambers of the Arthur L. Hildreth, Jr. Municipal Building located at 9418 John Sevier Road, New Market, VA 22844. Members of the public are invited to attend and present comments on the proposed budget. 3. 5/4/2015 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Harrisonburg City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon as the agenda permits, in the City Council Chamber located at 409 South Main Street, to consider the following: Rezoning - 1320 Port Republic Road (B-2C Proffer Amendment) Public hearing to consider a request from Alan E. Strawderman to rezone a 19,602 +/- sq. ft. parcel zoned B-2C, General Business District Conditional, by amending existing proffers that were approved when the property was rezoned in 2009. The property is located at 1320 Port Republic Road and is identified as tax map parcel 88-C-6. The Comprehensive Plan designates this area as Low Density Residential. This designation states that these areas consist of single family detached dwellings with a maximum density of 1 to 4 units per acre. Low density sections are found mainly in and around well established neighborhoods and are designed to maintain the existing character of neighborhoods and to provide traditional areas for home ownership. The Zoning Ordinance states that the B-2, General Business District is intended to provide sufficient space in appropriate locations for a wide variety of retail shopping, commercial, automotive, miscellaneous recreational, and service activities. No minimum lot size restrictions exist in the B-2, General Business District. For any additional information, contact the Community Development Department, 409 South Main Street, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All persons interested will have an opportunity to express their views at this public hearing. 5. 5/4/2015 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF GROTTOES The Town Council of the Town of Grottoes, Virginia will hold a public hearing on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Grottoes Municipal Building, to consider an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2015 Adopted Budget. The purpose of this amendment is to reflect revenue received from a Federal Asset Forfeiture Grant to the Grottoes Police Department.
