Robert Merle KRAMP, Sr. Robert Merle Kramp, Sr. of Aberdeen died Friday, July 23 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 73. Born in Ramey, PA he was the son of the late Richard O. C. and Bertha L. (Fox) Kramp. Mr. Kramp served in the US Army for over 24 years, serving tours in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam, during which time he received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Korean Defense Service Medals, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Award Medal. He also enjoyed camping, traveling and NASCAR He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carole M. (Pusey) Kramp; sons, Richard R.G. Kramp and wife, Colleen of Minot, ND, Robert M. Kramp, Jr. and wife, Karen of Ft. Worth, TX, Douglas B. Kramp of Conway, SC, and Keith E. Kramp and his wife, Tammy of North East; five grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, and Tatyana Kramp and Justin and Arianna Bowden; and one great granddaughter, Arianne Kramp. A visitation was held on Tuesday, July 27th at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home with funeral services conducted by Rev. Ed Heydt being held on Wednesday, July 28. Bonnie Jo MARZICOLA Bonnie Jo Marzicola, age 55, of Edgewood, MD, died on July 22, 2010 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph John and Evelyn Marie Pieper Cook. She had worked as a beautician. Mrs. (Cook) Marzicola is survived by her husband, Robert M. Marzicola of Edgewood, MD; daughter, Shelly Brossoit and husband, Lenny, of Forest Hill, MD and Leslie Nicole Vettas and husband, Michael, of Edgewood, MD; brother Gary L. Cook of NC; and grandchildren, Rylee Nicole and Emme Jo Brossoit. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Daniel A. Marzicola and her brother, Joseph F. Cook. A memorial service was held at McComas Funeral Home, P.A., Abingdon, MD on Monday, July 26, 2010 with Rev. John B. Ward officiating.

Carole E. PARKINSON Carole E. Parkinson, age 69 of Aberdeen died Saturday, July 24, 2010. Daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes Argue. Beloved mother of Richard W. "Rick" Parkinson and fiance, Terri Lopiano of Aberdeen, Anita Powers and husband, Gary of Wilmington, DE, Arthur Shaffer and wife, Theresa of Joppa and the late Lt. Col. Martin K. Shaffer. Dear sister of Pamela Sheridan and Philip of Marrietta, GA. Loving grandmother of 7. She struggled with Lou Gehrig's disease for a little over 5 years. Through this period Carole was lovingly cared for by future daughter-in-law Terri Lopiano and son Richard W. "Rick" in her home. Carole owned and operated a tax preparation business and was a long time member of American Legion Post 128 Ladies Auxiliary in Aberdeen. The family will receive friends in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A of Aberdeen on Wednesday, July 28 from 7-9 p.m. A prayer service officiated by Fr. William J. Charles Richard STEVENS Charles Richard Stevens, age 80 years, of Street, died on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 6:55 a.m. at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. He was the husband of Peggy A. (Thomas) Stevens with whom he had shared 53 years of marriage. Born on September 19, 1929 in Street, he was a son of the late Wilton Leroy and Mary (Famous) Stevens. A lifetime resident of Street, Mr. Stevens graduated from the former Highland High School and was a lifetime member of Emory United Methodist Church. Retiring in the early 1990's from working as a general contractor, he devoted his time to the family farm that he was very proud of, "Mine Branch Farm." Mr. Stevens was the recipient of the 2008 Harford Co. Soil Conservation Farmer of the Year. In addition to being a member of the former Bel Air Big Red Football Team, he was previously active in umpiring baseball and referring football games. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, David W. Stevens, Edward A. Stevens and his wife, Diane and Phyllis A. Kelly and her husband, David, all of Street; four grandchildren, Amy E. Stevens, Andrew P. Stevens, David J. Kelly, Jr. and Daniel M. Kelly; a brother, Arthur (Tim) Famous Stevens of Street; and a sister, Virginia S. Martin of Street. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Stevens and a sister, Alverta S. Liming. Visitations will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Emory UM Church, 911 Cherry Hill Road, Street. John Paul AMOROSO III John Paul Amoroso III of Perryville died Sunday, July 18 at his home. He was 46. Born in Neptune, NJ he was the son of John P. Amoroso, Jr. of Bel Air and Dianne Amoroso of Aberdeen. Mr. Amoroso enjoyed playing the guitar and had played in several bands. He was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Baltimore and graduated from Havre de Grace High School in 1983. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Faye (Bowser) Amoroso of Perryville; brothers, Robert P. Amoroso and wife, Laurie and their children, Robert II and Nicholas of Aberdeen and Antony P. and Jeffry P. Amoroso both of Bel Air; sister, Jennifer A. Milton and her husband, Robert of Havre de Grace; stepsons, Nicoma, Tyrone, Dwayne and Jerome Nordine; six step grandchildren, one who was special to his heart, Nickiya Walker of Edgewood; and his sister-in-law Gail Bowser of Aberdeen. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Baltimore. Louise M. CHILCOAT On July 21, 2010, Louise M. Chilcoat, 59 year resident of Fallston, passed away at age 92. Beloved wife of the late John F. Chilcoat, devoted mother of Barbara Schmidt and Diana Heisterhagen, sister of Anna King. She was also blessed with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 26, 2010 followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Barbara Ann COCHRAN Barbara Cochran of Parkville died July 21 at Good Samaritan Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was 75. Born in Harford County, MD she was the daughter of the late George W. and M. Thelma Cochran. She graduated from Bel Air High School in 1952 and attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Baltimore, graduating in 1955 as a Registered Nurse. Miss Cochran served for 12 years at St. Joseph Hospital before joining the nursing staff of Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore, MD where she served for 29 years. She began her career as a staff nurse, eventually becoming Assistant Director of Nursing Service in charge of the operating rooms. She retired in 1998. She is survived by her siblings, Catherine C. Eburg of Baltimore, Mary C. Hanlon of Monkton, Doris C. Ostendarp of Bel Air, Elizabeth C. Daniel of Bel Air, George W. Cochran, Jr. of Fort Washington, MD, Margaret C. Keithley of Charlotte, NC and Judith C. Shaker of Macon, GA. Two brothers predeceased her, Robert V. Cochran of Phoenix, MD and Thomas P. Cochran of Parkville, MD. She is also survived by forty nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John's Catholic Church, Hydes, MD by Father William Foley. Interment was at St. John's Cemetery. Pallbearers were her nephews, Jay Daniel, Todd Daniel, Robert Eburg, Jr., Paul Keithley, Thomas Ostendarp and Timothy Ostendarp. Evans Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services was in charge of arrangements.

Francis R. GARBINSKI Francis R. "Frank" Garbinski, age 72 of Aberdeen, MD died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at U. of MD Medical Center in Baltimore. The beloved husband of Thelma Mae Garbinski. Born in Johnstown, PA, son of the late Walter and Carmella Garbinski. Loving, supportive father of Glenn Garbinski and wife, Kathy of Forest Hill and Robin Garbinski and boyfriend, Dave Lowman of Aberdeen. Dear brother of Martha Pliskaner of Pittsburgh, PA, Fred Garbinski and wife, Judy of Strongsville, OH and Walter "Sonny" Garbinski" of Kutztown, PA. Proud grandfather of Greg Garbinski of Forest Hill. Frank served in the Army and Nat'l Guard for 42 years working in logistics on APG. Frank enjoyed golf, spending time with his grandson, family, friends, and liked all animals. He also enthusiastically volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Pantry and Martha's Meals. The family will receive friends in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A., 333 S. Parke St, Aberdeen, MD on Thursday, July 29 from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Milton William HABICHT Milton was a resident of Green Meadows at Dover, DE for the past two years. He died peacefully in his sleep from complications of Alzheimer's Disease, at 3:20 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010. Milton, son of the late George R. Habicht and Jennie May Graser Habicht, was born on August 23, 1922 in Baltimore, MD. While growing up, he spent many summers on farms owned by relatives in PA. He served in the U.S. Army, receiving a Purple Heart during WWII in the European Theater. Milton retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1982 after 34 years of service. He volunteered as a Boy Scout leader, and later on, for Harford County Parks and Recreation in their swim programs. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving on their maintenance committee as well as volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. He was married to his first wife, and loving mother of his three children, Alice (Becky) for 48 years until her death in 1992. They spent many happy years at their beachfront home in Abingdon on the Bush River. Milton remarried in 1993 to a dear friend, Dorothy (nee) Herbert until her death in 2001. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Carol Habicht in 1956, a daughter-in-law, Patricia (nee Staubitz) Habicht in 1994, and a brother, Walter Habicht. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Seigert of Joppa, MD., brother; David Habicht of Glen Arm, MD; his son Daniel Milton Habicht of Randallstown, MD; his daughter, Karen May Murphy and son-in-law, Richard James Murphy, of Dover, DE; and four grandchildren, Kenneth and Jennifer Habicht, and Ryan and Nicholas Murphy. Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Joppa, MD on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 with Rev. Charles H. Lashley officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery. Charles Wesley HOUFF, Jr. Charles Wesley "Wes" Houff, Jr., age 64, of Forest Hill, MD, died on June 19, 2010 at the Maryland VA Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Charlottesville, VA, he was the son of Mary Anna Vandevender Houff of Forest Hill, MD and the late Charles Wesley Houff, Sr. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served as a White House Communications Specialist. He worked in the automotive industry and was a champion trap shooter. In addition to his mother, Mr. Houff is survived by his sons, Matt W. Houff and Jason W. Houff, both of Forest Hill, MD; and sister, Mary Scheeler of Cecilton, MD. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his nephew, Michael P. Scheeler. Private services will be held at a later date. Dorothy Joan JONES Dorothy Joan Jones, 76, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Saturday July 24, 2010 at Harford Memorial Hospital. A life long resident of Rising Sun, Joan was born on January 8, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy Hoster. She was a homemaker and then received her LPN from Harford Community College in 1978. Joan practiced nursing and retired from Harford Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed puzzles, knitting, sewing and travel. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by two sons, David Jones of Trenton, FL and Steven Jones and his wife, LeeAnn of Rising Sun; two daughters, Shannon Saunders and husband, Robert of Dothan, AL and Kristin Smith and her husband, Wesley of Frederica, DE; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also leaves behind three sisters, Elizabeth Oldstone of La Jolla, CA, Edwina Vose of Hamilton, MT and Sandi Vachek of Bel Air, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Bryant Jones and her daughter Kelly Jones. A service honoring Joan's life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. Friends and family called at the funeral home Tuesday evening. Burial will be in West Nottingham Cemetery. BERT LEVY BERT LEVY, 80, of Leisure World of Virginia, formerly of Columbia, Maryland died on Monday, July 19, 2010 in Leesburg, Virginia. Mr. Levy was born January 3rd 1930 in Washington, DC to the late Harry and Fannie Berkowitz Levy. Five siblings and a son, Daniel Ross Levy also predeceased him. He received his Bachelors in Education with a major in Math from Wilson's Teachers Collage and furthered his education at George Washington University with a PHD in Mathematical Statistics. Mr. Levy retired as a statistician with Department of Agriculture in 1987. During his retirement he was a professor at Essex Community Collage and Morgan State University. Mr. Levy is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Carole Lillard Levy of Leesburg; a son: Michael David and wife Bianca Blount Levy of Sterling, Virginia; one sister: Ann Kurtz of Silver Spring, Maryland; two grandchildren: Benjamin Philip and Allison Estelle Levy and a host of other relatives and friends. Tyras S. Athey On July 20, 2010, Tyras S. (Bunk) Athey, 83, of Centreville, MD passed away. He was the beloved husband of Chick (nee Dorothy N. James Rudolph Bailey James Rudolph Bailey, Jr. of Laurel, Md., passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at his home. He was the beloved husband of JoAnn Wilson Bailey, his wife of 60 years. Dear father of his children, Vicki Ellis (Jeff), and Brenda Fowler; cherished grandfather of James and Amy Fowler. He is also survived by one nephew, Jerry Watkins. Born December 2, 1926, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late James and Edna (Owings) Bailey. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Edna Watkins, and Ruthlee McMahon. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery at a later date.

SAILOR HAMPTON MOHLER Sailor Hampton Mohler, 66, of Columbia, died Friday, June 18, 2010. Born in Nelson County, Virginia, he was the son of William Andrew Mohler and Dollie Truslow Mohler of Afton, Virginia, who both predeceased him. He was the husband of Cleve Crooks Mohler of Columbia. They were married 41 years. He was a physicist and inventor with numerous patents in the field of early stage detection of coronary artery disease. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Virginia Tech in 1971 and was a disabled Navy veteran. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Sailor Christopher Mohler of Baltimore; daughter, Stephanie Cleve Lyons of Odenton; sisters, Florence Elledge of Afton, VA and Alice Mohler of Boca Raton, FL; brothers, Lewis Mohler and Kenneth Mohler of Afton and Daniel Mohler of Waynesboro, VA. A memorial service will be held Saturday August 7, 2010, 1 PM at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church in Millersville, MD with a luncheon following the service. He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday August 13, 2010 at 9 AM.
