Box 569 Cordele, Georgia 31010 NORTHWEST TRUNK SEWER REHABILITATION Separate sealed Bids for the construction of the Northwest Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation which generally consists of approximately 5,100 linear feet of route clearing, manhole repairs, sewer cleaning and televising, bypass pumping, and cured-in-place pipe installation for approximately 2,800 feet of 24-inch and 30-inch sewer line will be received by the City of Cordele at Room 220, City Hall, 501 7th Street North, Cordele until 2:00 P.M. local time, December 8, 2009, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds Georgia State Contractor’s License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43?14. Any contract awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is expected to be financed in whole or in part by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Community Development Block Grant Stimulus Award (CDBG-R) and is thus identified as CDBG-R Project No. 09-cr-5104. Procurement is subject to the compliance with the CDBG-R Supplemental General Conditions included herein and with the provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) (Public Law 111–5). Bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority owned businesses. Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to insure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4.
